The start of my professional career can be found in the railway industry: a dynamic and unpredictable sector where planning, delivery deadlines, and strong team spirit are simply non-negotiable. As the saying goes: the train must keep running.
In my role as a project engineer, I am involved in every aspect of a project — from cost estimation and work preparation to site management and execution. This versatility has not only shaped my technical expertise, but has also taught me how essential collaboration, flexibility, and a results-driven mindset are within complex infrastructure projects.
Throughout my career, I have gained experience in both railway construction and overhead line systems, two disciplines that each bring their own unique challenges and responsibilities. This combination has given me a broad perspective on railway infrastructure and project management.
Over the years, I may have become a little “derailed” myself — in the best possible way. My passion for the railway sector runs deep, and honestly, I can no longer imagine a career outside of it. It is exactly this passion that drives me to keep building new projects, strong partnerships, and sustainable results.
De start van mijn professionele carrière ligt in de spoorwereld: een dynamische en onvoorspelbare sector waar planningen, opleverdata en een sterke teamsfeer niet onderhandelbaar zijn. Zoals vaak wordt gezegd: de trein moet blijven rijden.
In mijn rol als projectingenieur kom ik dagelijks in aanraking met alle facetten van een project — van calculatie en werkvoorbereiding tot werfopvolging en uitvoering. Deze veelzijdigheid heeft mij niet alleen technisch gevormd, maar ook geleerd hoe essentieel samenwerking, flexibiliteit en resultaatgericht denken zijn binnen complexe infrastructuurprojecten.
Doorheen mijn carrière heb ik ervaring opgebouwd in zowel spoorbouw als bovenleiding, twee disciplines die elk hun eigen uitdagingen en verantwoordelijkheden met zich meebrengen. Deze combinatie heeft mij een brede kijk gegeven op spoorinfrastructuur en projectmanagement.
Tijdens deze jaren ben ik zelf misschien ook een beetje “ontspoord” geraakt — in de beste zin van het woord. De passie voor de spoorsector zit diep, en eerlijk gezegd krijg ik het spoor er niet meer uit. Net die gedrevenheid zorgt ervoor dat ik met volle overtuiging blijf bouwen aan nieuwe projecten, sterke samenwerkingen en duurzame resultaten.
With a strong passion for engineering, I fulfill my role as junior Branch Manager across a wide range of industrial projects in various sectors. From the construction of steel structures and piping within the chemical industry to machine building for the pharmaceutical sector — and everything in between — my focus is always on quality, efficiency, and sustainable collaboration.
Thanks to this broad experience, I understand the needs of both production environments and complex project structures, where technical expertise and a pragmatic approach go hand in hand.

Met een sterke passie voor techniek vervul ik mijn functie als junior Branch Manager binnen uiteenlopende industriële projecten en diverse sectoren. Van de constructie van metaalstructuren en piping binnen de chemische industrie tot machinebouw voor de farmaceutische sector — en alles daartussenin — ligt mijn focus steeds op kwaliteit, efficiëntie en duurzame samenwerking.
Dankzij deze brede ervaring begrijp ik de noden van zowel productieomgevingen als complexe projectstructuren, waarbij technische kennis en een pragmatische aanpak hand in hand gaan.

Since 2005, I have been actively involved in the aquarium world, a passion where experience, experimentation, and continuous learning are at the center. Over the years, I have tried many things — with both failures and great success stories as a result. It is exactly this combination of practical experience that makes the difference.
From breeding unique fish species and working with in-vitro plants to aquarium construction and complete breeding installations, SEGO_AQUATICS provides support throughout the entire process. Whether it concerns your very first aquarium or the development of a professional breeding setup, we assist from concept to realization.
In addition to practical guidance, we place great value on sharing knowledge. Through presentations, workshops, and support within associations, including clubs affiliated with BBAT, we are happy to share our experience and expertise with both beginner and advanced aquarists.

Sinds 2005 ben ik actief binnen de aquariumwereld, een passie waarin ervaring, experimenteren en blijven bijleren centraal staan. Door de jaren heen heb ik veel geprobeerd — met zowel mislukkingen als mooie succesverhalen als resultaat. Juist die combinatie van praktijkervaring maakt het verschil.
Van het kweken van unieke vissoorten en het opzetten van in-vitro planten tot aquariumbouw en complete kweekinstallaties: SEGO_AQUATICS biedt ondersteuning tijdens het volledige traject.
